This lecture focuses on developing recognition skills and Japanese language proficiency in business contexts. Through the lecture, participants will solve problems based on business scenarios, building the ability to fully understand situations and backgrounds. Additionally, the course includes exercises in listening to business conversations to accurately grasp their intent and content. By cultivating the ability to capture the overall flow and key points, participants will be prepared to handle complex conversations and business situations.
Graduated from the Faculty of School Education, Hyogo University of Teacher Education. Completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Language and Society, Osaka University of Foreign Studies. Ph.D. in Language and Culture. Held positions as a lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, assistant professor at Jissen Women's University, assistant professor and associate professor at the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics, associate professor and professor at Tezukayama University, and professor at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies before assuming the current position. Former Vice Chairman of the Annual Conference of the Society for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language, Vice Chairman of the Annual Conference Committee of the Kansai Linguistic Society, and member of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' project committee for developing educational models using the "Japanese Language Education Reference Framework." Recipient of the 2015 Society for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language Encouragement Award. Recognized in 2017 by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science for the first-round review committee for Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research. Continues to propose cutting-edge theories and promote practices in a wide range of research fields including Japanese language education, Japanese linguistics, and Japanese language education.
