Graduated from the Faculty of Humanities at Tohoku University. Completed the doctoral program in the Graduate School of Humanities at Tohoku University (Ph.D. in Literature). After serving as a special researcher at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (PD), a lecturer and associate professor in the Faculty of Education at Saitama University, and a visiting researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), currently holds the present position.
